13 April 2008

it's been a while...

13 april 2008

wow. it's been a little over three months since i last posted here... i guess i was a bit preoccupied about updating my myspace blog... but anyway...

usually when i update my blogger, um, blog, i'd just ramble on and on about different musings i'd have on my idle times, ramble about different excitements i've just experienced, and most of the time, i'd just rant about what sucks in my life.

this one would be one of those: ranting about what sucks in my life.

*sigh* ideally, it's not supposed to be this way, you know? what messed up person would rather confide in an electronic medium, to be read by anyone who may happen to stumble upon this site, than confide in other living, breathing, human beings? yeah huh. i think i just dissed everybody who owns a blog. i guess it's not my fault that nobody wants to listen to us, to me.

anyway, like i said, this is a ranting entry, and here's what i want to rant about: my mom. simple as that. i don't know if she's just old or what but it's downright impossible to reason with her now. utterly impossible. i don't know how people at work do it, but it's going to be a freaking warzone if you ever try to reason with her. i swear, if she just wasn't my mother...

take what happened these past two weeks for example. she'd get really, really mad at me (to the point of actually shouting at me in a mall, for crying out loud) just because i haven't bought an outfit to this stupid dance number thing that they're going to do for the company anniversary. yep. she's blown up on me just because of a stupid outfit for a stupid dance for a stupid company. in the first place I WASN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE IN IT! and then she goes and busts her knee and expects me to take her place to that stupid sonofa***** dance number for that stupid sonofa***** company. i didn't want anything to do with that, with any of that. but, trying to be the good daughter that i supposedly am to do a request by my oh so great mother, and that she absolutely gave me no choice anyway, i gave in. okay. i was going to do the stupid dance. then she drags me to go shopping for an outfit that i still have no idea what it's supposed to be or what color it should be in, since i haven't actually seen all the outfits that the other participants are going to wear. and since i'd just be using it for only ONE time, she drags me to all these designer boutiques, which, i must add, are pretty darn expensive. all for an outfit that i'd pretty much wear for only a few hours (even minutes) and then forget that it ever exists in my closet.

and then she goes and says she doesn't understand me. i mean, COME ON!!!

it's me (and a whole bunch other people) that always gets stuck between a rock and a hard place everytime she'd just decide that she'd have one of her furious spells. nobody ever knows where they'd place themselves with her. sala sa lamig, sala sa init, as the saying in tagalog goes. it's like you're ALWAYS wrong... it's always your fault.

like i said, this sucks, big time.

way bigger problem: she won't believe a thing i'd say. she'd rather believe other people than believe me. really. would you believe that? i'm literally shaking my head as i type this, since images of instances before come flooding back at this instance.

she'll always believe that it's my fault. i'm telling (well, writing) you, if there would be a third world war, i'm sure she'll blame me for causing it.

is the whole world against me now? my internet explorer decided not to respond properly on me a while ago while i was typing... darn.

now if only my mom could read this, but it would take a miracle (and even two more world wars) for her to actually learn to use a computer and the internet. her excuse: she's too old... yeah, right. nobody's to old to learn new stuff (i don't believe that shit that you can't teach an old dog new tricks... bah)...

i need a job, badly. i need to get far away from here, start a new life, where i could be me. heaven help me...

02 January 2008

alrighty. first post for the new year ( and it's a long one!)

02 january 2008

first of all, happy new year!!

okidoki. on with the post. harhar. hmmm... so what should i write about? the past year? new year's resolutions? i have absolutely no idea, so i'll shotgun this...........

~

2007. wow. what a year. let me reminisce for a bit here... first i graduated (woooo-hooooo!), finally, and then got a job. first with our own company and then with hsbc. then i resigned from hsbc and have spent the rest of the year bumming out. come to think of it, i spent half the year working and half the year spending everything i earned. haha. oh yeah. as the year ended, i was elected into the board of directors for our company. wow. what a way to end the year. haha. anyhooo... i guess 2007 was some kind of a roller coaster ride for me. (alright, i guess this is the part where i contemplate on the past year.. haha) full of highs and lows... anyway... i guess 2007 was the year of frustrations for me, as well as a year of - for a lack of a better term - "returning" to previous norms and such.

2007 was frustrating for me in a way that there were a lot of things that i didn't get to do, and hopefully i'd be able to do them this year... hehe... anyway, like, i really didn't get the job i really wanted - i got stuck as an HR assistant and then as a customer service outbound agent (which really, really sucked, by the way). i guess one of the few things that i pride myself in doing is resigning from that sucky job. haha. i know, it'll be bad on my resume and stuff, but hey, i can't go pretending that i'm doing great when in reality i'm not. just being real, here... anyway... i guess the year also kinda sucked because of things that happened (if you'll read my posts throughout 2007, i'd gather you'll have a general idea of what sucked and what didn't... =D), and that some things (or people for that matter) just can't freaking leave you alone! i mean, what did i ever do to deserve this?! yeah, a bit melodramatic, but hey, you can't blame me for doing that. if it were you in my shoes, dang, i know you'll probably feel the same thing. anyway, looking back, i think that 2007 for me was a time where i was probably still looking for my own "niche", my own "genre", so to speak. i know i suck at customer service as an outbound agent, i know i don't like doing human resources. career-wise, i think we can conclude that i won't be looking for jobs along that line. hehe.

what else? oh yeah.

like what i wrote a couple of paragraphs above, 2007 was also a year of "returning" - so to speak. i don't really have specifics or anything, but i guess this includes my "love" for power rangers... i guess i have to thank hsbc for letting me re-live my power rangers days.. haha.. but seriously, though. i kind of actually re-discovered power rangers when cartoon network aired power rangers wild force again and i stumbled across it one afternoon while i was channel surfing a couple of years ago. but i really got into it again when power rangers spd was aired and i was surfing the web for info on episodes and such that i tumbled into rangercentral.net and found out that there was a '15th season anniversary' episode that was going to be aired. so further 'researching' led me to find out that adam would be one of the 'veteran' rangers that would return, and it got me hyped up. why? adam was (and still is) my all-time favorite power ranger ever. so, thanks to youtube, i actually got to watch the episode before anybody else here in the philippines does (or i would like to think so), and thanks to limewire, i could watch it over and over again. hehe. but after that particular episode, i have been searching for episodes from mighty morphin, particularly the third season, which is when adam (rocky and aisha) come in. i've watched the movie over and over again, and i could probably quote you the exact lines from the movie. so after re-discovering power rangers, i've kinda returned to my childhood programs recently: all those japanese sentais (bioman, maskman, jetman, etc.), sailormoon, v.r. troopers, and the like. so... i'm not returning to being childish, i'd like to get that cleared, i just reconnected with my childhood... it was a year of being so uptight and so grown-up that reconnecting with my childhood was actually a nice outlet for stress and all that.

*i'll also be posting this same entry on my blog at myspace, so if any of the former rangers who are my friends on myspace, please don't delete me from your friends, it's just that power rangers has been (and will always be) a big part of my life that i couldn't just ignore or move on from. heehee. so... bear with me, please.*

~

alright. so now that i've pretty much summarized what happened to me in 2007 (which mainly is power rangers), i guess now's the time where i get to outline what i plan to do in 2008. hopefully this will be easier compared to actually thinking of stuff that happened to you the past year... anyway, here goes:

~

so. what can i do this 2008? hmmm.. let me see:

- i'll be going to europe, finally. that's already being worked on. hopefully i'd be able to go this march... i'd finally get to actually remember going to europe. hehe. see, this trip would be my second trip to europe, since i got to go when i was about 22 months old. you see? i couldn't remember a damn thing about that trip, so now that i'm finally going to go, all 22 years of me, i would get to remember going (and actually have proof that i've been to europe!) haha. so there. i am so ecstatic about this right now!! and, i promise to post about that trip as soon as i could get to a wi-fi spot. =) heh.

- i'll be going to hawaii! =) yeah baby! this will be the first time that i'll be going to hawaii, so i expect that it's going to be great. i mean, i've been to LA and LV loads of times so i think that it'll be cool to go to another state, for a change. hehe

- i swear that i'm going to find that job that i really want this year. whatever it takes, dude. whatever it takes.

- what else? hmmm... maybe if there's going to be another power ranger convention like the power morphicon 2007 this year, with adam (and possibly rocky) attending, i'd be raring to go! maybe during march? in hawaii? come on... i'd really love to meet them, and then i could die happy. lol.

- maybe i'll go try and meet people that i want to meet. like my all time favorite actors, or something like that. maybe try an extreme sport... hmm...

- oh yeah, i just remembered. if i find that job, i'm going to be moving out of my parent's house! wooooo hoooo!!!!! that's my next adventure!

at this point i can't totally think of anything else i'd like to do for the year, since it's already 11pm by this writing. funny thing, i actually started writing this post at 9pm, but i logged on to youtube and searched for the power morphicon clips so i watched while i was writing this, haha, so now i'm a little sleepy and i still have to wake up early tomorrow for all the errands i have to do. so, yeah, my brain is kinda sleeping on me now, so i'd cut this one short(er). so.... until the next post?

** disclaimer: i am not a power ranger stalker (or obssesive shadower, in the politically correct term my cousin came up with). i am a huge fan, i could give you that, but not a stalker. or some desperate fan who desperately wants to meet them. i just want to meet them, but if that doesn't happen, then life goes on. they're my friends on myspace, but that's about it. and quite frankly, it's going to be pretty hard to stalk them, with the whole pacific ocean separating me from them. i live in the philippines and they live where? the united states? so come on.. practicality, people. i'm not filthy rich to go jetsetting wherever.** i just wanted that out. paranoid? maybe.

17 December 2007

25 November 2007

...bwahahahaha...

25 November 2007

weow. nearly a month has passed since i wrote stuff down here. guess i've just been busy --- was called to relieve a person in our company a few weeks ago since he got suspended... and since i have been involved with the company for a few months before, i guess the sensible decision was to call me and let me take over for a while... y'know, cause i kinda know the knitty-gritty of the job; and do i mean knitty-gritty. imagine doing all the payroll, per diem and meal & site allowances for everybody! holy...

anyway... it's a one time thing though -- doing all those payrolls and such is murder! wouldn't dream of doing it again... unless there's this really nifty software that makes the job a whole lot easier!

so i'll be finishing that stint by mid-december, and after that i'm officially a bum again (woooo-hoooo!!!!)! however... i'll be preparing for quite a busy 2008... here are my plans so far:

- i'll be facilitating an english proficiency training for our employees. i know, i know. it's hard. but, if i'm going to get paid for it... why not? i think i could pull it off... :D

- we're planning a management training program for managers and supervisors... hoopefully the program could make better managers out of the managers in our office.... haha

- i'm off to europe! wheeee!!!!

- i'm off to hawaii!!! double wheeee!!!!

- after that, i'll be job hunting!! harhar

well? what'd i tell you? a pretty busy 2008, right? heehee

~

speaking of my previous post (see below =P), it seems like i'm more and more regaining that power ranger hype i've had since i was a kid. i swear. i'll wake up at 7:30 am on a weekend just to watch. i know. i've got it bad. in my defense, though, it's an avenue for me to de-stress... especially after doing all the payroll stuff... hehehehe

~

anyway... i'm really not that much in the mood to put in a really long post.... so.... i'll cut it here for now... :D

02 November 2007

it's morphin' time!

02 Nov 2007
it's been a long week full of holidays... let me recap:
monday - barangay and sk elections. naturally, no classes, no work. and another day of philippine politics in front of our eyes.
wednesday - halloween. the night before all saint's day. considered half-day for classes and work.
thursday - all saint's day. no classes, no work. time to visit the dearly departed in the cemetary.
friday - all soul's day. still no classes, no work. technically, this is the time to visit the dearly departed, though i think it has been tradition to visit the day before.
in summary: this has been a very, very long week. why? my mom's home all day. wouldn't want that, honestly.
~
since i've been unemployed (yeah-huh) for more or less two months now, i've been able to think a whole lot. actually, my mind has been imaginatively active most of the time and sometimes i could go on daydreaming (so to speak) for the whole day if i really had nothing to do (which is most of the time). which is kinda freaking me out, honestly. i've gotta be careful to cross that fine line, if you know what i'm talking about.
~
speaking of the title of this entry (see above), yep. you read that right. my passion (or love, whichever) for power rangers has been rekindled! *sigh* and i'm not talking about the latest spin-offs or seasons of the power rangers. i'm talking about the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. yup. adam, rocky, aisha, billy, kim, tommy, zach, jason and trini. it's kinda hard to believe that it's been 14 years since the series first started, and now there are 15 seasons to the series. wow. *whistles*. and it's hard to believe that i've grown up with power rangers in my system. wowee. darn... i must be getting older already... hahahaha
as of this writing, i'm looking at steve cardenas' pictures on myspace. for those who don't know, steve played rocky on power rangers. yup. he has a myspace page (although i don't think he'd want me to broadcast it here) and technically, he's my friend on myspace (yay!) hehe. anyway, it's so cool that you could connect to people who, ten years ago, i would never imagine talking to, much less be a friend. well, technically, we haven't 'talked' to each other yet, but that's beside the point. and i'm not limiting it to steve. i'm 'friends' with johnny bosch (who played adam), walter jones (who played zach), mike 'the miz' mizanin, ashley massaro, gregory helms and edge(all from wwe), to name a few of the 'famous' people (or celebrities) that maybe just a dream ten years ago. get what i mean? it's cool that the internet actually made this possible. it's just too bad that some asswipes ruin everything by making viruses. darn it.
~
changing topics...
~
i really, really want to travel before i go look for a job again. definitely going to the states, though. that's for sure. hopefully i'll be able to go to europe, too. *sigh* i wish my aunt would reply soon...
~
i'm running out of things to say... so i'll cut it here.

24 September 2007

blurbs

24 Sept 2007
i am so bored. literally.
i guess when i made the decision to quit my job, i should've expected the great boredom that was sure to follow. then again, i never really made any effort to find a new job... i'm still thinking about what i really want to do and if i'm going to work, i want to be sure that i'm going to enjoy working mainly because of the job. the enviroment and the friendships at work come a close second and third. but in all honesty, i haven't been really looking for a job since i still want to have a "vacation", so to speak (or write). also, i've been handling all the preparations and renovations for the condo, which i haven't been able to do for the longest time because of my previous work, so i guess after all the stuff that i've yet to do and still do i'll be getting on finding a job.
speaking of work... i just don't know where i'm going to work, since i can't pretty much determine where i'm going to work, right? i mean, if it's all up to me, i'm sure i'm working my butt off right now. but since i'm not in control (boo hoo), my loss. *sigh* it's a tough competition out there... you always have to prove you're the best candidate out of all of them. *sigh*. tough love... bummer..
~
in another light, i want to travel around... maybe europe, australia, the states... just go away for a while... i've also been thinking of getting another degree abroad... i'm not quite yet for the masteral studies, but another undergrad degree might be fun... =)
~
going back to boredom, i've gone back to writing my stories... and i found out that my mind is completely blank. no ideas whatsoever. man, this sucks.
~
oh well... another day of doing abso-bloody-lutely nothing passes...

18 August 2007

you ever feel one of those days....

18Aug2007

i feel like sh*t.

there's just so many things to think about and i feel like there's nobody to talk to about these things...

~

have you ever had your own mom believe someone else than you? as in really, really believe him than you? i have. i'm currently the "enemy", so to speak. i just can't believe that my mom would sink sooooo low to please that f****** sonofa*****... and use MY personal stuff to do so! kamusta naman yon, diba? tapos pag nagalit ka, ikaw ang masama.... hindi ko na alam saan ako lulugar eh... it's so freaking frustrating to be in this position... kala mo naman kung sino siya... empleyado lang namin siya. ang lakas ng loob niya na gawin yon. sino ba siya? pwede ba????

you know what i want to do to that sonofa*****? i wanna kick his sorry butt... pucha pacute pa ampotah! parang hindi daw niya alam kung ano nangyayari... upakan ko siya jan eh... gusto ko na talaga ipamukha sa kanya na ayoko talaga sa kanya... yung tipong manliliit siya sa pagkatao niya... masama man iniisip ko pero wala na kong ibang maisip na paraan eh.. nababad trip na talaga ako sa kanya...

~

moving forward... (shux eternal word ng manager ko...) i'm also thinking about my current job... don't get me wrong... i love working at hsbc because of the people and the pay and the environment... but i just don't like the job itself.... how can i continue working there when i can't give my 100%? i have a point, don't i? (can i just squeeze this bit here? i havent been able to continue this post for the longest time and as of this current writing, i've officially resigned from my job!)

another thing... there's this... guy... that seems to be expressing something lately... hah... bitin? don't you just hate cliffhangers? anyway... i'm really not that sure yet with what's going on but in due time, i'll give an update...

~

gosh it feels so good to have no committment at all!!! woooohoooooo!!!!

i guess that's it for now...

17 July 2007

hah!

17Jul2007
it's been a long time since i made an entry here... maybe a couple of months or so... and i've got pldt to thank for that (stoopid people still account our loss of internet connection to the earthquake in taiwan months ago...)... we've just gotten this darn internet up and running... i just hope to high heavens that there would be no mishaps soon...
anyhoo...
ok. i've always thought that the last place i'm going to work for is a bank or any company in finance for that matter; i've always thought that i'm going to work for a company or an organization as a sales, events or marketing associate. but what do you know? i'm now currently employed with HSBC, the world's local bank (although i must admit i'm still in sales... =P). i remember writing the last time that i was working for our family company and that we've just come back from palawan... we'll a couple of weeks after that i got a call from HSBC inviting me for an exam... i thought what the heck and took it anyway... turns out i passed and i was slated for an interview... they actually called me back and said that i had a "talk" with the vp for strategic human resources (or something to that effect)... i thought it was for a second interview but surprise, surprise! it was already for a contract signing... i just want to say... nabulag ako sa sweldo... dahil lintik ang hirap!!! =( anyway... met some new friends there, and i'm currently enjoying my stay... hopefully i get regularized soon...
~
speaking of HSBC, i'm currently working at the HSBC Centre at the Bonifacio Global City... incidentally, i'll be moving out (yehey!!!!) and moving into my condo unit at Serendra, which is also located at the BGC. i'm crossing my fingers so i can get regularized asap! sayang naman kasi kung hindi din lang ako mareregular, diba?
~
i still want to tie up loose ends... although i don't know how...
~
in all honesty, i'm infuriated with a certain person right now. as in.
~
just watched harry potter and the order of the phoenix last saturday... all i can say is: woah. they all look so mature now... though cho chang (katie leung) kinda gained a few pounds (and i mean in weight...), the rest of the cast seemed to grow out of their baby fats by this movie... and i still don't like cho... heehee
~
i'm excited for the 7th (and last?) harry potter book... it's going to be released this saturday! OMG! sooo excited.... i'm going to go straight to the bookstore after our training to buy the book!!! holy... can't wait!!!!
~
i guess i better end this short... now that there's a decent internet connection, i can post anytime i can!! =D

04 March 2007

...back from palawan...

04 March 2007
it has been a long time since i wrote here... i've just been very busy at the office, and my (darn) internet service is still down (at least i think so)...
~
we flew out to palawan last friday; it was fun... though it was really tiring. i was with my officemates (naks!), and i was actually surprised that i had a really, really good time! of course, my closest friends in the office - dave, adrian, phercy and june - were there too, so naturally it was fun!
upon arriving in palawan, we checked into our hotel, the asturias hotel, and changed for our first tour of the trip -- an island hopping trip around honda bay. we ate lunch at the starfish island, and stopped at the snake island. i didn't swim, though, because it was really, really hot... mind you, it was around 1 pm, and the sun was directly overhead... although we went walking to the southern (?) tip of the island under the hot sun, but then again... you get what i mean? ;)
although it was a nice sightseeing event, it was very tiring; and on the way back to the wharf, practically all of us were asleep in the pumpboat.
after going back to the hotel, we had dinner at a beachfront restaurant/bar... where we caught the high tide... it's a good thing we were close to finishing our dinner before the tide came in. the food was delicious - and healthy all at the same time. i took a lot of pictures (as usual) and before i knew it, the day was over...
the second day started early, since that was the day that we were slated to go to the underground river. we had breakfast at the hotel at 6 am, and we left for the underground river at a little past 7 am. it was a 2 and a half hour trip to the national park, and then we had to take a 15-20 minute boat ride to the river entrance. let me just say that the 2 and a half hour trip was really, really, really bumpy, since the road was really, really rough... i was seated at the last row of the van and i had a long massage, thanks to the rough road... hehe.. the ride back to the hotel was the same... very bumpy, but somehow, a lot faster.... maybe because i got to sleep for a while, and *ahem*. un nalang.
dinner was served in the hotel, and there was a surprise for one of the managers who was celebrating her birthday. dave, phercy and i played a little table tennis, had a lot of pictorials and they wanted to throw me into the pool.
i really enjoyed this trip, especially i had close friends with me there... i believe it was a great bonding experience for us, and we got to know each other a little more better than before...
i sure hope that there would be more trips like this for us... kahit kami-kami nalang. =P
~
sabi ni phercy, pustahan may panibagong isyu nanaman yan bukas. haaaay nako. bahala sila mag-isip ng gusto nilang isipin. basta kami, alam namin yung totoo.

12 January 2007

sankapa?!

12 january 2007

~

speaking of work...

o my gulay... shet!

(yun nalang ang masasabi ko... ayoko na magsalita eh... hahahahah!)

~

anyhoooo... siguro hanggang dito naang muna... madali lang naman na magedit ng entry eh.. hehe

ayus! =P

23 October 2006

all hail king booker??? i don't think so.

23 October 2006

last saturday was a blast, minus the fireworks. i went to watch the WWE Smackdown! Survivor Series Tour scheduled last saturday with my friend and can i just say that it rocked!! i should've saved more money to buy two tickets... one for each show, or i should've saved enough to be seated ringside. *sigh* i wish WWE would have more live events here... or better yet, i could go work for WWE (Mr. McMahon? Anybody?). anyway...
~
i can't remember exactly how many times i've said that i want to be in law enforcement. i'm currently on a CSI marathon, and the more i watch, the more i want to be a CSI. heck, i'm even having dreams of being a CSI. maybe i've watched one episode too many in this marathon (take note: i'm barely into the fourth season), or maybe it's just so damn interesting to watch. why didn't CSI become popular when i was still in high school? maybe then i would've gotten into a degree program that could be close to becoming a CSI. *sigh* but, i'm keeping my options open. i also want to work for the FBI. yup. like i said, law enforcement. just not here in the philippines.
~
i'm going to be graduating in a couple of months. realistically, i haven't any clue where i would work. but ideally? i've already listed three above: WWE, CSI, and the FBI. nice, huh. but seriously, i really, really want to work in the WWE and the FBI. i swear. give me the chance and the opportunity, i'll do it! (so if anybody out there reads this...)
~
i better go back to my CSI marathon.

01 October 2006

dahil may bagyong dumaan...

28 September 2006

what a day...

28 September 2006
I woke up today and found out that there was a storm passing through Metro Manila... guess what the storm signal was... signal # 3!!! and my mom actually wanted to go to Quezon City (yes, in the middle of a #3 storm) just to pick up a couple of tailored clothes. So, in essence, on the way back home, it was raining hard and the winds were sooooo strong... i literally felt the wind rocking the car! it was that strong! i'm not exaggerating! roads were unpassable due to numerous trees that were uprooted - my last count on the way home was 12... and my mom still doesn't want to go home... *sigh* but now the storm's on the way out of the country and school's back tomorrow...

14 September 2006

this past week...

14 September 2006
this past week was just so... tiring.
we've started surveying for our thesis... and, for the love of all that is good, it's really not that easy!!! not to mention scary, because we need to tap into the lower classes - classes c/d/e - for our thesis and one look around the area would make you think twice for your safety. just recently we had to survey a group of 'tambays' which just made my caution meter spike up to high heavens. i wanted to run away if it weren't for this danm thesis survey. i have nothing against anything - do not misquote or get me wrong here - but sometimes i just wonder if this is going to be all worth it afterwards... maybe i have to bring a knife or a tazer next time... oh well...
~
i'm going to start working on monday. (what?!) yup, you read that right. i'm going to be working. and i've always thought that the word 'work' and myself did not go in the same sentence. haha. =) anyway... at least i'll have money.. hehehe...
~
to tell you honestly, i really didn't want to accept the job... because that would mean that i would have to stay longer hours in our office (i may not have said earlier, but i'm going to be working at our office.. hehe), and it means more encounters of the third kind. well not exactly. hahah. i just want peace... can anybody give me that, please?

30 August 2006

since i have nothing else to do...

30 august 2006

it's another boring day of doing nothing... i know sometimes doing nothing is very welcoming, especially coming from a long week of stress from projects and exams, but other times, doing nothing is exactly why it's boring... just like today... just like it was yesterday... *sigh* at least tomorrow i get to go to school, only because it's our course card distribution... i practically know i've passed all my subjects, except my thesis, since technically, we wouldn't get any grade yet... anyway...

~

since i have nothing better to do than "waste" my time watching tv and surfing the 'net (you know what, even the 'net gets boring nowadays...), i've been watching stuff that on channels that i won't normally even think twice to watch... and it's turned out to be pretty interesting... hehehe...

i've been watching a show called "sue thomas, f.b.eye", which is about a deaf FBI agent... it's actually interesting to watch, especially when you have to hot guys there. yes, i said hot. haha. this is the first and the last time i'm going to say hot guys. argh. anyway... the storyline's fascinating in such a way that sue thomas cannot hear anything, but aided with her hearing dog, Levi, she makes it through everyday life ok. Her contribution to the FBI is that she could read lips, which makes undercover and "eavesdropping" a whole lot unconscpicous and easier.

another show that i'm looking forward every week is the newest season of Numb3rs.. it's so fascinating to know that math (very, very advanced math, i must add) could actually aid in solving crime... Not to mention it aids the FBI (yes, the FBI again) to actually solve exceptionally hard cases... and take note, these are actually inspired by true events...

there's been this show that i've been following that just went off-air all of a sudden has returned!!!! woohoooo!! thank you crime/suspense! Bones is back!! yeah!! just hope that it's the latest season... =)

anyway, it's already "sue thomas, f.b.eye" so i'll have to end this...

23 August 2006

...

23 august 2006
one down...
i have just taken the intreco final exam yesterday and i must say that i felt confident enough about that exam... i just hope that my feeling is correct, though. i really, really, really hope that i pass this dang freakin' subject. it would just suck if i fail this subject... it's going to be my only subject for the next term if i fail this one... *sigh*
one more to go...
it's this freakin' website for interac. our deadline for this project is on the 28th... and i still haven't quite finished it yet... hehe... lack of motivation, you know? i promise i'll finish this by monday... i have to... hehe. i don't even care what my grade will be... i just want it to be done...
something else...
thesis defense are scheduled tomorrow and on friday. i have mixed feelings about this one... i want to watch, but at the same time i don't... i mean, since we're deferred, i want to watch to see how it will go down, but i don't because it's so frustrating, knowing that we could've been one of those people who would defend our thesis... it may seem that i've accepted the fact that we're deferred, but actually, i'm still a little bit bitter about it... i mean, if it weren't for our *cough*beloved*coughcoughcough* mentor, then we would've been one of those defending our thesis... but then again, i had the feeling from the start that we couldn't have finished on time, either... *sigh* oh well...

21 August 2006

i CAN'T believe this!!!

21 August 2006
here we have no classes again... because of a freakin' holiday... anyways...
the biggest event of the year just happened. what am i talking about? i'm talking about summerslam. a lot of people may have seen the commercials in jack tv and etc... and i just checked with wwe.com about the results... and i CANNOT believe what happened. seriously. i mean, come on! i know randy orton was asking for it and dx prevailed once more against the mcmahons. but "king" booker AND edge retaining their respective championships because of what? sharmell and lita (respectively)! that is not something i want to see in summerslam... gosh! it's a good thing i didn't waste money going to the pay-per-views in megamall... rip-off! argh!
anyway... i should be reviewing for my economics final exam instead of wasting my time surfing the web for the results of summerslam or even writing in this blog... but i can't help it.. my brain needs a break... i can't study anymore and i still have a lot of paperwork to do... my brain is slowly dying on me if i don't take a break... and its always the time of day that my brain automatically shuts down... i can't explain it, but yeah. anything that's academic-related, my brain shuts down at this time. *shrugs* don't know why...
what really sucks is that freakin' economics professor of mine. very high standards, left the country for a couple of weeks to go to some freaking country, left the class to two very, very inefficient subs, and expects us all to pass the freakin' course. am i the only one who sees that this is sooooo wrong?! argh...
anyway.. i gotta get back to that paper. dang it. the only thing that keeps me going is that this is all going to be over soon... i hope.

09 August 2006

*sigh*

09 August 2006

it's 2 days before my birthday... woohoo. haha. i'm supposed to be excited and all that, since my birthday means gifts and money (haha) but honestly, i'm not. i suppose you want to know why? i really can't explain it properly; i suppose that it just comes with age. yup, that's right. age. and i'm not getting any younger.

it's actually funny 'cause before, when i was way younger, nothing seems to matter more than receiving my gifts and my birthday money. i would even go to the extent of reminding everyone that my birthday is coming up as early as june. that's how serious i was about my birthday. this time, however, i didn't quite have the same enthusiasm as before; i actually realized that my birthday was coming up at the start of the month. and by my standards, that's way late. haha. i guess what they say about people growing older: you tend to mature. 'tend' is the key word here. i'm not saying that i'm starting to get all serious and stuff; it's just that there are times that being 'carefree' and materialistic just doesn't cut it anymore. it's like it's about time that i finally have 'substance'. and i guess that's what adds to who i am.

speaking of who i am, now that i'm, let's just say, 'maturing' (hah), i just hope that nobody would try to change me into someone that they deem to be 'better'. i mean, i hope (and i'm crossing my fingers mentally as i type this) that people just accept me the way i am, and not expect me to conform to their ideals and expectations. that's what makes me unique for who i am. maybe i'll try to change a bit, you know, reach a compromise, but that's it. i won't change for someone if it means overhauling my whole personality and bending my beliefs and principles.

~

i have to wait three more months before i graduate college. now, i don't know whether i'd be happy to stay another term in school, or disappointed that i'd still be dependent and won't be able to do as i please. *sigh* i guess it's a little of both, you know what i mean? i guess i'm glad (in a way, not entirely) that i'd have an extension on actually pondering what's going to happen after college; disappointed because we could've finished the freaking thesis on time if it weren't for the numerous revisions that our *cough* beloved *cough* mentor made us do.

going back on the subject of the future (that sounds a tad intimidating), almost 4 years in college and i still haven't decided what to do after graduation. my mom had asked me a couple of times this year on what i plan to do after graduation, and i immediately answered, 'bum around'. but now it got me thinking: what happens after that? i mean, i am entitled to a few weeks, or maybe months of rest after at least 17 years of studying (it's been that long?!), but after this, what then? i haven't really given it much thought, and now, i am. i would definitely want to work in the field related to my study (which is organizational communication) which means that i'd really prefer to work in the corporate environment. i've actually given it serious thought to work in the WWE corporate headquarters, but even that seems a little far-fetched. i need to find work related to media and the corporation somewhere here in the philippines, but let's face it, there are just not that much options here. i guess that's one of the reasons that many filipinos would want to work abroad.

speaking of working abroad (yes, it's the second time i've used 'speaking of'), i've been hearing or reading stuff that you know, question the nationalism of these filipinos. like what my professor in history of civilizations said, it doesn't matter where you are, or what language you use, just as long as in your heart, you still hold the philippines dear in what you do. i have to agree. although i say: being nationalistic doesn't mean you have to endure everything happening in the philippines, or you have to stubbornly stay in the country although you know that you're going to go nowhere. it's about improving your own life as well as others', and it doesn't matter how you get it (as long as it's legal ;D). being nationalistic doens't mean that you would march head on in rallies and demonstrations opposing everything taht could be opposed. it's just being 'pinoy' at heart and living 'pinoy'.

~

my, my. isn't this an interesting blog entry. too many ideas cramped into so little space, so little time. haha. it's one of these rare moments where i actually make sense, or so i think. =D haha. anyway, i guess it's time to end this very long entry, my longest one yet (for the record! ha! as if i'm keeping record. haha). oh well... till my next 'serious' moment. haha

01 August 2006

been thinking....

01 august 2006
wow! an entry on the first of the month... haha...
~
i've been thinking... isn't it weird in a way why the wizarding world in harry potter have no clue about technology or technological advances? or the sciences, for that matter? i mean, what era is harry potter supposed to be living in? i'm assuming that harry lives in this century, because his uncle and aunt's place has tv, playstation, computer games, etc... why, then, hasn't the wizarding community kept up-to-date? we (that is, my cousin and I) were watching harry potter and the goblet of fire on dvd, and well, an old fashioned turntable (you get what i mean?)?? i mean, there are cds and radios and stuff like that, and i also know that muggle equipment cannot function properly inside hogwarts, but how come there aren't magical cd players or computers? wala lang. i was just thinking... why don't they have internet? i mean, they could call it the world wizarding web or something like that? *sigh* anyways....
~
oh. haha. i just remembered. our thesis: deferred. haha. means i won't be graduating on october. one more term. haha. i must loooove dlsu so much that i still don't want to go. haha.
~
i'm already excited. for what? the WWE SmackDown Survivor Series Tour (kailangan kumpleto. libre plugging na rin to. =D). i've already got my ticket. have you got yours??? =P
~
*sigh*. my birthday's coming up... again. not that i'm against celebrating my birthday, but i'm not quite keen on the idea anymore. maybe because i'm turning 21... oh well. you get older...

21 July 2006

HAHAHAHAHA....

21 July 2006
